How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days

3 Must-see Romantic Comedies

Celebrating the premiere of the Czech romantic comedy, Double Trouble, we have selected three movies that are a must-see of the genre. These comedies will keep you laughing from beginning to end!

Friends with Benefits

Starring Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis, Friends with Benefits delivers a hilarious story of love and jokes. In the movie, Dylan is done with relationships while Jamie decides to stop believing the Hollywood clichés of true love. When the two become friends, they decide to try something new and take advantage of their mutual attraction – but without any emotional attachment… Physical pleasure without the entanglements! They soon realize romantic comedy stereotypes might exist for a reason.

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days

Directed by Donald Petrie and starring Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days is the ultimate romantic comedy. It has all the ingredients ― sensual, good-looking protagonists, an impossible romance, quirky attempts to win each other’s hearts, and plenty of jokes. In this movie, Benjamin Barry is an advertising executive and ladies' man who, to win a big campaign, bets that he can make a woman fall in love with him in 10 days. Andie Anderson covers the "How To" beat for Composure magazine and is assigned to write an article on "How to Lose a Guy in 10 days." They meet in a bar shortly after the bet is made.

Notting Hill

Starring Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant, this romantic comedy from 1999 became a fan favorite upon premiere. Set in the traditional and colorful Notting Hill neighborhood, in the heart of West London, the movie follows the life of a modest bookshop owner as it changes when he meets the most famous film star of his era.

Notting Hill won a BAFTA, was nominated in two other categories, and won other awards, including a British Comedy Award and a Brit Award for the soundtrack.
