Biography - Lauri-Matti Parppei

A musician, graphic designer, and filmmaker from Finland, Lauri-Matti has worked with different art mediums all his life. He started a band at the age of 17, hardly knowing how to play guitar, and has since released four albums. His approach to filmmaking resembles composing music: it is based solely on intuition and feeling. You Built Me a Labyrinth is his second short film and was premiered at the Warsaw Film Festival in October 2014.

Hakan Kerim Karademir was born in 1983 in İstanbul. He graduated from the Marmara University School of Communications with a degree in Radio, Television and Film. He later continued his Master’s in Film the same university. During his college years, he shot some short movies and documentaries. One of his short documentaries, Zeyrek, won the special jury prize in 2006 in International Safranbolu Documentary Film Festival. He started his professional career in ANS International Productions as an intern. He has also worked in many TV series as well as feature films, as an in-house producer in this company. In 2009, he went to Los Angeles and at that time, he studied Bussines at UCLA Extension for a year. After Karademir returned to Turkey in 2011, he produced TV programs called Ya Siz Olsaydiniz for TRT News and Hergun 1 Kitap for TRT Education. In 2012, he directed the short movie School Uniform, which was supported by Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Also the same year, he started to produce called Bir Kitap Bir Yarisma which is cultural television show for TRT Education. In 2013 he produced and directed the documentary film called The Last Migration of Pamir Kyrgyz for TRT.
