Interview with Cecilia Forss (Actress)
How did you get involved in the project of this adaptation?
The Danish producer contacted my agent, Laura Munsterhjelm, and she recommended me. Shortly after, we had a meeting in Copenhagen and then I got the part.
What attracted you to participate in this Scandinavian version of Black Widows?
I really liked this weird genre. I thought it was an absurd and tragicomic story, which really attracted me to participate.
Why shouldn't viewers across the world miss any episodes of Black Widows?
Because it's fun, tragic and absurd and it's great that woman are the bad guys for once.
How challenging was it to adapt a role of a series that was so successful in its original version?
It always hard to do a remake of a successful series or movie but, in this case, I hadn't seen anything of it before I got the part so I decided to not watch anything of the original version, so I could be free and do my thing.
How did you prepare for the role of Rebeka?
I always try to take pieces of myself and my friends that remind me of the character and the character’s experiences. This time I did the same.
What do you think are Rebeka's main characteristics? What defines her in the series?
She has a big heart and she's the one you can trust. But she is also naive and weak when love comes in the picture.
Are you working on any projects at the moment? Can you tell us something about them?
I just finished the second season of Black Widowsso I'm still a little bit in that bubble mentally. Regarding my future, I can't tell you anything about it, unfortunately. It's still a secret what my new project will be.
