Interview with Esther Elisha (Actress)
How did you get involved in the project?
Stefano Incerti saw me in a movie called Là-bas by Guido Lombardi and started thinking about Neve, because he wanted to work with me... At least that's what he said to me! We started talking about the character and developing it...
What did attract you of the script to be part of Neve?
The loneliness of the two characters. Also the will of Stefano to accept the suggestions and ideas that came from me and Roberto De Francesco.
How did you prepare for the role of Norah?
I met with Roberto several times to work on the scenes and we changed some to make them work better for both our characters. Then we talked about the changes with Stefano and Patrick Fogli (the screenwriter). Also, I got some inspiration from movies that might seem quite far from Neve... Vahllalla Rising was one of them: I was interested in the work that Mads Mikkelsen did with his silent character.
What are the characteristics that identify your character? How would you describe her?
Bad choices, maybe. I think she improvises her life, she is a hustler and she got to a point where she feels she needs to save herself somehow or she might get burned.
The film has and open finale, how would you like the story to end for your character?
Can't tell you, it's Norah's secret!
Are you working on any projects at the moment? Can you tell us something about them?
I shot the second season of a TV show called Tuttopuòsuccedere it's actually the remake of the American show Parenthood, coming out on Italian TV in April. Also, I'm about to shoot a short with a young director, Christian Filippi, starring Carlo De Ruggieri. And during autumn I will be on stage in Torino with Disgraced by Ayad Akhtar, directed by Martin Kušej.
