This is not a solo artist but a band. Lukas Graham comes from Copenhagen and one of the most captivating communities of the world: Christiania. In the heart of Denmark’s capital, this closed community with their own rules and penchant for freedom, one young talented boy decided to tell his story alongside a band.
Consisting of Lukas Graham, Mark "Lovestick" Falgren, Magnus Larsson and Kasper Daugaard, this band’s provides a musical journey through pop, hip-hop, choir music and more. They began by recording their act live from a house and making it viral on Facebook in 2011. After the band was spotted by Copenhagen Records, they were launched on a highway to fame.
With songs revealing much of the life within Christiania and plenty of autobiographical anecdotes, Lukas Graham has already reached the top of music charts across the globe. In 2015, their worldwide hit “7 years” (a song about the singer’s life and how he foresees his life) topped the charts in Denmark, Sweden, Austria, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, the UK, Colombia, Argentina, México and Canada.
Lukas Graham is a Danish ghetto-pop band consisting of Lukas Graham Forchhammer (vocals), Mark "Lovestick" Falgren (drums), Magnus Larsson (bass) and Kasper Daugaard (keyboard). Launching their debut album in 2012 on Copenhagen Records, Lukas Graham quickly became a popular live act in Denmark. That success translated to the rest of Europe and caught the attention of Warner Bros. Records, which co-signed them in 2013. The band’s music was first introduced worldwide with the release of their two singles "Mama Said" and "7 Years," the latter of which topped various international charts.
